Mulberry Silk

At BURR, we work closely with our suppliers to ensure that high quality standards are met. All BURR silk products are made using the highest grade (6A) 100% pure mulberry silk - the highest quality silk available.

Mulberry silk is the continuous fiber made by silkworms of the Bombyx mori moth. These silkworms are fed only mulberry leaves which produces the finest silk in the world. Mulberry silk is natural and hypoallergenic.

Silk fabric uses momme to measure weight and quality. The average weight for silk ranges from 12 to 22 momme (with 19 momme and above as high quality). All BURR silk pillowcases are made using 22 momme silk and face masks using 19 momme silk).

Higher momme = higher quality = longer expected lifespan
